The Truth Project exists to help you recognize the false and be ready for the true. Everything we teach is measured against one standard: the Bible. Here is what we believe, and where we find it in Scripture.
Scripture is God’s inspired Word, the standard by which all teaching, tradition, and experience must be tested. We invite you to check everything we say against it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Isaiah 8:20
Jesus is the eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and is the only way to the Father.
John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We cannot earn salvation. It is God’s gift, received by faith in Christ and shown in a life that obeys Him out of love.
Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:15; James 2:17
Since His ascension, Jesus has ministered as our High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary. In 1844, at the end of the 2300-day prophecy, He began the final phase of His work, the pre-advent judgment, which reveals who has accepted His grace and applies the benefits of His atoning sacrifice.
Hebrews 8:1-2; Hebrews 9:23-28; Daniel 7:9-14; Daniel 8:14
Revelation 14 describes God’s final warning to the world. The first angel proclaims the everlasting gospel and calls everyone to fear God, give Him glory, and worship the Creator, because the hour of His judgment has come. The second announces the fall of Babylon, the false religious systems that have mixed truth with error. The third warns against worshiping the beast and its image and receiving its mark, and calls for a people who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. We believe this message is meant for the whole world today.
Revelation 14:6-12
Daniel and Revelation expose the forces at work behind world events and show where history is headed. Prophecy is given so that God’s people will not be deceived.
Daniel 2; Daniel 7; Revelation 13
The Bible teaches that the gift of prophecy is one of the identifying marks of God’s remnant church. We believe this gift was manifested in the ministry of Ellen G. White, whom we recognize as an inspired messenger of the Lord. Her writings speak with prophetic authority and provide comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction to the church. They also make clear that the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested.
Joel 2:28-29; Amos 3:7; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 19:10; 2 Chronicles 20:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21
God rested on the seventh day after Creation and set it apart as a day of rest, worship, and ministry for all people. The fourth commandment requires us to keep the seventh-day Sabbath, from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, as Jesus and the apostles did. It is a memorial of Creation, a symbol of our redemption in Christ, a sign of sanctification, and a token of our allegiance to our Creator. We believe the Sabbath will be the central test of loyalty in the final conflict.
Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11; Luke 4:16; Hebrews 4:9-10; Ezekiel 20:12
The Ten Commandments express God’s love and will for humanity. They don’t save us, since salvation is by grace alone, but they define sin and show how love for God and others is lived out. Christ’s death did not abolish them.
Exodus 20:1-17; Matthew 5:17-19; Romans 3:31; 1 John 5:3
Jesus will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. The dead in Christ will rise, and the living righteous will be taken to heaven. Our goal is to help you be ready.
John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
The Bible teaches that death is an unconscious sleep until the resurrection, and that the wages of sin is death while eternal life is God’s gift through Christ. We reject the teaching that the soul is naturally immortal.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6; Romans 6:23; 1 Timothy 6:15-16; John 11:11-14
“To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no light.”
